Seeds for Austism--call for artists (a FW)
Hi, my name is Mary Ann LaRoche, and I am in one of Beatrices studios off of 15th Ave. In our studio, we run a nonprofit program called SEEDs For Autism. www.seedsforautism.org We are a group of artists who work together to take our talents and create products to then teach adults with autism and aspergers how to learn our skills, and fabricate the products to then sell. Our program has had overwhelmingly great response from our participants, their families, and the public. In January we are looking at offering more classes, and getting more students, and hoping to include other artsists/talents/skills to our agenda. We are looking for all areas of expertise, and volunteers to help us grow our program. We will also have some future paying positions, but want to begin interviewing interested parties. Upon agreement to working with us, we will require fingerprinting, but are mainly interested in creating a fun, but are also teaching genuine job related work ethics to our adults. If you are interested, or think you might know someone who would be interested, please forward this on. I can be reached at my email address: maryann.laroche@cox.net This is a great space, and opportunity for artists to not only help, but you also get to learn from other artists. Thank you for your time, Mary Ann | | Sunday, September 19th, 2010 | 4:09 pm [trunkspace]

Mon Sept 20th: Italian Jazz-Experimental Acts!
Tomorrow Night! This show is of interest to anyone who is a fan of jazz music, experimental & noise art, or even 'freak' acts like Zappa. Please consider coming, and if it looks interesting to you, please also pass it on to your friends and peers: From Italy, TRIBRACO and NEO http://www.myspace.com/tribracohttp://www.myspace.com/neoneobandI won't lie, this is very experimental jazz music, and won't be to everyone's taste. But, it's also a chance to hear something rare and amazing the most fans of the genre won't have another chance at. There are also 2 local bands, DESTOROYA and SPACE TOURISTS. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. The cost is $8 per person. Thanks for your time, interest, and support. Sincerely, JRC--The Trunk Space | | Thursday, July 1st, 2010 | 11:18 pm [trunkspace]

Bill has published many Chapbooks, and produced one of statement collections of the performance poetry movement of the last decade. Do not miss this tremendous poetry talent.
